Age and Groups

3. PARTICIPANTS

3.1. The participants are divided into age groups and thus into competition groups as follows:

3.1.1. Group A – 6 to 7 years

3.1.2. Group B – 8 to 10 years

3.1.3. Group C – 11 to 13 years

3.1.4. Group D – 14 to 17 years

3.2. If the participant already belongs to the older group at the time of the start of the competition (registration 1st round) or at the time of the start of the 2nd round, the age difference of max 4 (four) months is tolerated.

Pre-registration

8.1. Pre-registration

8.1.1. The pre-registration for the competition is available online at www.haydn.international.

8.1.2. When pre-registering, a fee of € 5 must be paid via PayPal at www.haydn.international.

8.1.3. With the pre-registration, the participant is added to the waiting list and, when the required number of participants is reached, he will be informed by email about the start of registration for the 1st round.

8.1.4. The participant is allowed to submit his video recording for registration for the 1st round of the competition when pre-registering.

Video recording

12.3. The video recording must meet the following criteria:

  • The video recording must show the participant with his / her piano accompanist performing the competition program.
  • The video recording must include the synchronous sound recording of the participant and his / her piano accompanist during their performance.
  • The video recording must not be interrupted. Breaks between pieces of music or parts of a piece of music (e.g. concert or sonata) are permitted.
  • The participant and his / her piano accompanist must be dressed as a classical concert evening requires.
  • The video recording must completely depict the participant with his / her piano accompanist during the entire performance of the competition program. The hands and body of the them must be visible during the entire video recording.
  • A video recording on a mobile phone or similar is permitted.

Piano requirements

8.8.6. Solo on piano must be performed on acoustic piano instrument.

8.8.7 Accompaniment on piano can be performed on a high-class digital piano. Performance on digital synthesizers is not allowed!

Registration 1st round

8.2. Registration 1st round

8.2.1. Registration for the first round takes place online at www.haydn.international.

8.2.2. The registration documents must contain:

  • 1 artist photo (preferably in high resolution) in jpg format
  • 1 photo or scan of identity card or birth certificate
  • Short artistic résumé in common text in English, German or Russian
  • Name of the piano accompanist.
  • 1 video recording of the participant with sound with the advertised program of the competition for the 1st round uploaded to YouTube, HUMAN C.A. Cloud, WeTransfer, Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Yandex Drive etc. or otherwise provided electronically with a link to the file.
  • Competition program (names of the pieces including the composer), which will be performed by the participant on the video recording.

 

8.2.3. When registering, the registration fee of € 20 for the 1st round must be paid via PayPal on www.haydn.international.

1st Round

8.3. 1st round

8.3.1. The preliminary jury will decide on the success in the 1st round and the admission of the participant to the 2nd round of the competition on the basis of the video recording submitted at registration.

8.3.2. The decision of the pre-jury on admission to the 2nd round of the competition will be communicated in good time by e-mail to the address of the participant after the selection has been made.

8.4. Registration 2nd round

8.4.1. Admission to the 2nd round only takes place after a positive decision by the pre-jury in the 1st round and payment of the fee of € 50 for the 2nd round via PayPal on haydn.international.

8.4.2. The registration for the 2nd round must include the following:

  • Video recording of the participant with sound with the advertised program of the competition for the 2nd round uploaded to YouTube, HUMAN C.A. Cloud, WeTransfer, Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Yandex Drive etc. or otherwise provided electronically with a link to the file.
  • Name of the piano accompanist.
  • Competition program (names of the pieces including the composer), which will be performed by the participant on the video recording.
  • Link to the video recording of the participant (except if the file was uploaded via HUMAN CA Cloud) and the competition program (names of the pieces including the composer performed by the participant on the video recording) via email to info@haydn.international.

8.4.3. When registering, the registration fee of € 50 for the 2nd round must be paid via PayPal on www.haydn.international.

8.5. 2nd round

8.5.1. The jury or the preliminary jury will decide on the success in the second round of the competition on the basis of the video recording submitted when registering for the 2nd round.
